I think the prices are reasonable and the food is great! The service is remarkable there. The people that run that place are 5 star and they teach their employees to have the same attitude. I like their gyros, chiliburgers, sweet potato fries and I heard their chili verde burgers are good. The avocado burgers are great also. I do not think their onion rings are greasy. They are much better than the round pieces of card board tasting onion rings you get at other places (burger king). All of their vegetables are fresh and we order the chef salad quite frequently. We never get salads anymore at the other fast food chains because Astro burger salads are always fresh, crispy and just made. We eat there every week and it is always clean, friendly and the food is always good.

Astro Burger is one of the best burger joints in Utah. I hit this place up almost everytime I make it to Utah. I love the bacon burgers they sell, and the prices are cheap.

This was my first visit to Astro Burger and it was NOT a good first impression. I ordered a bacon cheeseburger and was sorely disappointed. The bun was dried out and there wasn't much taste to the sandwich. Since eating part of the burger my belly has been gurgling. Not good at all. First visit was my last visit. :(

Their burgers are pretty good and fat, so I never leave hungry. This place would get 5 stars, if their fries were a little crispier and their fry sauce was not so heavy on the mayo as opposed to other spots. Overall, great burgers!

Utah's pastrami burger is a thing of beauty. Created by Greek immigrants, it's meaty, salty, juicy and deliciously sloppy. Paired with an order of thick-cut fries and some fry sauce, this is splurge-food heaven. You can get this local delicacy at several places--Crown Burger, Apollo Burger, Arctic Circle, and of course, Astro Burger. They all do an acceptable burger, but after visiting this Astro Burger a few times, I place them at the bottom of the pack. Unlike Crown Burger, which is always clean and seems to strive to be a step above run-of-the-mill fast food, this Astro Burger is dingy. It's covered in a fire layer of grease. The seats are all semi-sticky and everything looks like it needs the attention of a good scrub brush and a gallon of PineSol. The service is a bit brusque, too. The food still tastes good, the portions are epic, and it'll definitely scratch the pastrami itch, but all things considered, I'll choose their competitors first.

I'm so happy that Utah has burger places like this one. I always order their Astro burger combo and it surely completes my taste buds! Get have a little outdoor dining area and plenty of room inside. You should definitely come hungry because you'll sure leave full and satisfied.

I had never eaten at Astro and just ordered the Astro Burger... If it's named after it, it must be good. Not so much! Too much going on in one bite. I love burgers and I love pastrami but together it's a blend of too much flavors. Stick to one or the other.

Get the western bacon cheeseburger. It makes Carl Jr burgers look infantile. Awesome serving size and great tasting sides. Get the mushrooms. It's a "fresher" alternative to the french fries even though they are fried.

The service at this place sucks. If you get something to go they usually get it wrong. Double check every item!! Tonight I ordered a plate which includes salad and dressing. The salad was brown and they put the wrong dressing, again. Maybe these people can't read. I called when I got home, I live in daybreak and the drive is about 10 minutes away. Told the manager the problem, he was a complete jerk and said if I wanted anything done, I had to bring it back, really!?! I told him where I lived he didn't care. I said if i can't get something done, then I won't come there anymore. He said do what you got to do and hung up on me. It's too bad cause i generally like their food but after that screw them!!!!!

After the second visit to this location, I am left with another A-OK feeling about it. The fries were fresh, hot and crispy. The bacon cheeseburger was really good, but a little on the dry side. The rings were good, but a little too greasy. The pastrami sandwich was also a-ok, but a little dry and the meat could've been fresher. Oh yah, the fry sauce comes in pre-packaged hermetically sealed "cups" and is very bland. If it didn't cost $18 for two combo meals, I'd consider 4 stars. But for the price, three is as charitable as I can be.

This place was amazing. In every way. It was way busy tonight (friday). Both the drive through and the dining room had a ton of people constantly coming through, but they were very well staffed and had our food out incredibly quick. I even forgot to order something and when I went back to the register to buy that extra item the manager himself brought it to my table so I wouldn't have to get up again even though it was clear he was juggling a lot at the moment. The food was excellent. The effort they go through to make sure you can have a gluten free meal if you so wish is equally impressive and very appreciated as well. I will for sure be returning here soon.

I have an announcement - I am no longer an Astro Burger virgin. I've been quite close to Apollo Burger for several years. I've run into Crown Burger on occasion and things got...a little heated. And yes, there were those years I spent in... (dare I say it?) Provo with Burgers Supreme. I proudly stand and declare that I wouldn't take any of it back. I have grown through my relationships with all three. But, I have found a new chargrilled beefy lover...sure, he looks identical to the others. (Is that weird? We all have a type, right?) It's just that Astro's #3 Combo is more my type than the others. Yes, I spent last evening with #3 Combo. There are no photos as it was over far too quickly. The cheeseburger was fantastic; all flavors well represented! The fries were better than I recall them being at Astro's sister places. Med-large steak-type fries, absolutely perfectly fried, slightly crispy outside, positively mellifluous on the inside...and don't even get me started on the fry sauce. OMG. It was the best I've had anywhere. A most excellent blend. The Coke went down like the mysterious dark golden ambrosia that it's meant to be. I've stated it before; it's as if the Coke machines at all A/A/C's are directly connected to the same supply as Oprah has. It's that good. Thanks for last night, Astro...(wink) I'll see you again soon. Call me...you have my number...(3)...

When all else closed at the late hour of 9 pm in South Jordan, Astro Burger's lights were bright and friendly welcoming 3 hungry event setter-uppers into the fold to fill our bellies. And that my friends is one star. Astro Burger is a special kind of burger you know? They take a regular cheeseburger and add pastrami on top and THAT'S what makes it Astro. A second star for adding more meat to my meat and making it tasty. Astro Burger also serves up something called "fry sauce." They give it to you out of ketchup dispensers and put it on your burgers. It's a mixture of ketchup and mayonnaise and even though I'm not a fan of mayo this combo on your burger is nice. So a third star for introducing me to something new. Lastly, I know that Astro Burger is a chain, but had I not seen other locations on Yelp I would have never guessed that from the way the workers treated us and the store. They were so very friendly and seemed genuinely happy with life and to serve us even though they would be closing 20 minutes after we arrived. Service like that would make me drive to this particular location again and again should I live in this area and have a hankering for an Astro Burger and that my friends is the 4th star in this review.

Like a post-apocalyptic wasteland, this area of South Jordan looks deserted by 9:05pm. Buildings full of food but devoid of any traces of humans dot the landscape, their once bustling dining rooms and kitchens now stripped of their daytime population - like somehow they vanished, taking their cars with them and leaving only dark restaurants and empty parking lots. Tummies terrorized with hunger but no respite from aching pangs that cry out for sustenance. It's the suburbs. Then, a light shines out from within a building off of Redwood Road. People! Humans! They ARE alive, and they're here at Astro Burger! The warm glow will call you in and fill your eyes with menu options and your heart with courage. "The Astro Burger!" you hear yourself shouting. Did you really just say that so loudly? It's been so long since you spoke to another person. Did they understand? "The Astro Burger is what I want," you quietly reaffirm. Yes, they'll get the order right. Just go sit down in the newish building and wait for your food. Soon enough they'll produce a tray of food like a magician at a kid's birthday party; you really know how the trick was done, but when it's all put together and presented it's better than you really expected. Beef. Topped with pastrami. Fry sauce. And that thinly shredded lettuce. Pure, savory, burger in this isolated enclave of humanity in SoJo. There are other burger and non-burger menu items, but if you haven't at least tried the namesake dish start there and then branch out and explore some other options. The Astro will warm your heart. Or give you heartburn. But either way you will know your heart is beating. That you are alive. That others' hearts too are beating. Beating for the burger. No matter how dark it gets when you leave, you have beaten the suburbs!

So I hear that the pastrami burger is a Utah original. Whether invented in Utah or not, it definitely sounds like it was created by a man. Or at least a full blooded carnivore. Thought process goes....what would make a big sandwich full of meat taste better? Uhh....another kind of meat! YA! We stopped in here for a really late dinner the other night. It was one of the few things open, which is a bonus, and even though they were getting ready to close, they were super duper friendly about our last minute order. I'm ashamed to say that I've never been to Astro Burger before. And sad to say, that I wasn't super hungry when I got this chance. But I did taste a big bite of the hubby's pastrami burger. I'll admit to being nervous, but was pleasantly surprised by the flavor. For me, even though it did seem to be a pretty fatty cut of pastrami, it's a much better option than bacon, (which can be too greasy and chewy and REALLY fatty), but it still adds that extra salty flavor and complimentary texture. I felt like the burger could have used more sauce, it seemed a little dry. But my bite was on the edge, maybe it was juicier in the middle. I DID eat more than my fair share of fries. They were fatter than the typical chain fries, so they had more soft potato yumminess inside, but still managed to maintain a nice outer crispiness that I do enjoy. I was unimpressed with the fry sauce. Too much mayo, not enough other seasoning. I added a little more ketchup and made it decent. But I much prefer it elsewhere. Apparently it's a Utah classic. I think you should try it at least once.
